How does the new energy vehicle air conditioner cool and heat?

Because the new energy electric vehicle does not use the engine (internal combustion engine) as the power source of the whole vehicle, its air conditioning system cannot use the waste heat of the engine to achieve the effect of heating and defrosting. Therefore, compared with the traditional fuel vehicle air conditioning system, the new energy vehicle air conditioning system adds a PTC heating system and an electric compressor.

2. The working principle of the air conditioning system
In terms of refrigeration principles, the new energy vehicle air conditioning system is basically the same as the traditional fuel vehicle air conditioning system. The difference is mainly reflected in the driving method of the air conditioner compressor, the traditional fuel vehicle is driven by the compressor driven by the engine pulley, the compressor of the electric vehicle controls the rotation of the motor through electronic control, and drives the compressor to work through the crankshaft.

Pure electric vehicles do not have the engine of traditional vehicles and no heat source, so they need to rely on the thermal energy of PTC heaters for heating.
