Now that we have entered the golden period of parking air conditioner sales, what is the development level of the current domestic parking air conditioner product technology, and can it really meet the needs of the majority of truck drivers?
Some time ago, we published an article titled "Why Truck Users Are Unwilling to Choose the Original Truck Air Conditioner", which sparked heated discussions among truck drivers.
In these discussions, we concluded that "expensive price, low energy efficiency ratio, short usage time, and loud noise" are the focus of truck drivers' attention to parking air conditioners.
So what is the development level of the current domestic parking air conditioner product technology, and can it really meet the needs of the majority of truck drivers? To this end, we conducted relevant research on the parking air-conditioning industry, products, technologies, services and other perspectives.

Parking air conditioners are "rigid demand"
Relevant surveys show that nearly half of long-distance truck drivers choose to spend the night in their vehicles during transportation. Because the traditional car air conditioner is driven by the engine, if the original truck air conditioner is used, not only the fuel consumption is high, but also there are associated risks such as exhaust pollution, engine wear, and carbon monoxide poisoning.
The parking air conditioner is powered by a battery, which is not affected even if it is parked for a long time, and can flexibly adjust the temperature and humidity of the air in the cabin. Because of this, the parking air conditioner has been very popular since its birth, and it has almost become a rigid demand product in the heavy truck market.
According to our research, 70%-80% of heavy truck users will choose to install electric truck air conditioners, and the remaining 20%-30% are partially equipped with original truck air conditioners, or not equipped with it.
According to the "2020 China Parking Air Conditioning and Compressor Industry Research Report", the domestic supporting market sales of parking air conditioners in 2020 will be 625,000 units, the year-on-year increase was 29.7%.
