According to official data, Tesla's total revenue in the second quarter has reached 16.934 billion US dollars, and its net profit has exceeded 2 billion US dollars. At the same time, Tesla's global vehicle production and sales have also achieved substantial growth, with a total of more than 250,000 vehicles delivered.
Recently, Essence Securities Research Report pointed out that China domestic sales of new energy vehicles are expected to reach 6.62 million in 2022, a year-on-year increase of 102%. Essence Securities also gave forecast data for next year: domestic sales of new energy vehicles are expected to reach 10.36 million in 2023, a year-on-year increase of 56%.
Other agencies have also given forecast data before. Xiangcai Securities predicts that domestic sales of new energy vehicles are expected to exceed 5.5 million in 2022, which is consistent with the forecast of the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers. The Passenger Federation gave a more optimistic forecast, with annual sales reaching more than 6.5 million vehicles.
So, what is the current status of completion? Since 2022, the sales of new energy vehicles have continued to soar. Relevant data show that in the first seven months of this year, domestic sales of new energy vehicles reached 3.194 million, a year-on-year increase of 1.2 times, and the penetration rate increased to 22.1%. According to the rough calculation at this rate, it should not be a problem to reach 5.5 million vehicles in the whole year. Considering the practice of "Golden Nine Silver Ten" in the second half of the year, it is not impossible for the annual sales of 6 million+.
